Our Story
Jamie and Frank's story began at The Park restaurant in NYC. Frank noticed Jamie was not dancing while music was blasting in the lounge. He wondered why she was just sitting, so he decided to approach her, they started talking, and then he decided to be his spontaneous self and try and get her to dance. The song playing was Gangnam Style! So Frank started doing the infamous dance in hopes she would join him (and yes, that song was actually popular in 2012!). Before the song ended, Jamie finally gave in and started dancing with Frank. It worked!
Their first date plan was drinks at Banc Cafe in Murray Hill, Frank's old NYC neighborhood. Jamie showed up on time and was starving. Frank was a bit tardy. Jamie was slightly annoyed but let it go and ordered steak skewers as Frank asked what drink she wanted. So long for that drinks only plan! They then chatted for hours…
Many more dates followed as they got to know each other and discovered the many things they are mutually passionate about, including dancing, exploring new places, and eating ice cream! Another common ground they share is a desire to learn through their relationship. With Frank’s driven and enthusiastic personality and Jamie’s practicality and wit, they grew to learn from, respect and love each other.
On May 19, 2018, Frank anxiously prepared his proposal to Jamie and executed a clever plan to get her out of their apartment without her getting suspicious! After a girls day out in NYC, Jamie was shocked to find their apartment tastefully decorated with rose petals, candles and balloons when she returned home. Despite her doubts, Frank was actually able to surprise her and she said yes! It worked! After the proposal, the celebration continued with friends and family…
